It is the pleasure of the National Center for Food Protection and Defense to invite you to participate in an open webinar training session on the Food and Agriculture Sector Criticality Assessment Tool (FAS-CAT). These sessions are intended to familiarize the appropriate individuals in State Agencies with this program such that they can act as a resource for other parties that will be using this program within each of the States. Training sessions are November 18th, 3-5 PM Central, conference call and online access.

1012-01 Critical Thinking 1-5 Dec 2008 Critical Thinking Course: Critical thinking has been widely recognized in the Intelligence Community and elsewhere as one of the key skills that analysts require to produce reasoned, mission directed analytical results. This Course is designed to facilitate and enhance individual critical thinking skills through reflective thinking, systematic questioning, and critical reading. Attendees will also learn skills such as critical reading and writing as an integrated part of other techniques used by analysts everyday. Counterterrorism Analysis Course: This course explores analytical techniques for the purpose of countering and defeating terrorism. Attendees learn to analyze, interpret, and apply threat-profiling techniques to vast amounts of terrorism data, and produce a multi-discipline intelligence product in accordance with current intelligence community needs. Subjects include the origins of terrorism, roots of Islamic Fundamentalism, and analytical techniques such as link and time event analysis, center of gravity analysis, and threat profiling. We will gather by sight at Panera. If you are new to the group, drop our chapter president a note to coordinate recognition. We meet monthly on the second Wednesday of the month.
